Serving Our Diverse Communities
In addition, to loving our church family we are engaged in with our diverse community
both in the community and on our campus.
St. John’s Soup Kitchen
Mullins supports St. John’s Soup Kitchen by providing vital nutrition for people who are homeless, precariously housed, just passing through town, or part of the growing numbers of the working poor. We serve four meals yearly at St. John’s UMC. Sunday school classes assume primary hosting duties and work with staff at St. Johns.
Maanza a Leza: “Hands of God” in the Zambian Tonga tribe language
Primary goal: help with the education of the children from the Sichibeyan village of subsistence farmers in Zambia, Africa.
How: by building classrooms and teacher houses, and sponsoring high school education in neighboring towns for village children
We offer free presentations to large or small groups who are interested in this grass roots mission. God has richly blessed this ministry. Our hope is that He can use it to richly
bless you. Thank you for your interest.
Fundraising for this ministry includes, but is not limited to: selling handmade jewelry, repairing jewelry, selling Labor Day Pre-ordered Barbecue packs, and hosting a soup lunch Sunday.
