Music for Worship is alive and well at Mullins United Methodist Church. Check it out!

Chancel Choir practices on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. in the Choir Room and sings weekly at the 10:50 a.m. Sunday worship service and for special events and celebrations from mid-August until early July. We are a friendly group, consisting entirely of volunteers of many ages and occupations. We prepare and present sacred and inspirational music drawn from the broad range of the Church’s musical heritage. We serve as part of the team which facilitates worship at Mullins UMC. Chancel Choir is a great choice for anyone who loves music and wishes to praise God through singing. No audition is required for membership. We are currently recruiting all voice parts! If you are interested in joining us, please contact the Mullins Director of Music Ministries, Tom Machen, 901-685-8253.

Mullins Ringers meet Mondays at 5:50 p.m. in the back of the Sanctuary. We ring three or four times per year in Sunday Worship, participate in local and regional Handbell festivals, and appear at events around the community each year from September to May. Dr. André Duvall, Mullins' organist, pianist, and leader of the ensemble, is a major proponent of this art in Memphis and the Mid-South. For more information please contact Dr. Duvall at 901-685-8253.

 "Ministry through Music"

We invite anyone who plays an orchestral instrument to join us! We are also taking instrument donations. We currently have a cornet, a trumpet, a flute, a violin, a trombone, and an alto sax in our collection of loaner instruments, but we are always looking for more since some people don't own their own horns but might still like to participate. For more information contact Kent Stratton at (901) 351-3208.

This series of extraordinary musical performances debuted Summer 2014. It is a regular feature at the 10:50 a.m. Sunday worship service from early July to mid-August. Accomplished and varied in talents and musical backgrounds, performers bring eclectic diversity to the Mullins sanctuary. Half of each summer's performers are young, emerging, career-path musicians. We are fortunate to hear and embrace them at the beginning of what will surely be extraordinary careers. Don’t miss next summer’s lineup, and be sure to invite friends, families, and neighbors.
